Dr Kelly Wright

Dr Wright undertook medical training at University of QLD followed by residency in North QLD before moving to Victoria to complete physician training at St Vincent’s Hospital Melbourne. Dr Wright sub-specialised in the field of Aged Care before heading to the UK to undertake further fellowship training at the Royal Bristol Infirmary.

Following her training, Dr Wright worked in Townsville expanding the services delivered to the ageing population both in hospital and in the community. Dr Wright has an interest in: preventative medicine, polypharmacy, memory and the treatment of early dementia, falls and osteoporosis and helping people maintain their independence. She offers a holistic approach to patients and can schedule family conferences to assist in care planning. Dr Wright works with the team at Alfred Health in the clinical trials unit researching memory treatments.

Dr Wright balances work with being a mother to four young boys, including twins. She has an interest in running and strives to find time to train for her second Melbourne half marathon. She also volunteers for the local multiple birth association offering support to young mothers trying to manage the joys and challenges of having twins.
